Choosing Your News:  The Fastest Way to Civil War 2  ...

[Also, it's the best way to lose old friends in the course of #NewPolitics] 

Welcome to the new political landscape of late 2019; what had been efforts in diversity of news delivery have become the very tool that lands us on a slippery slope cascading towards a potential Civil War 2.   When we had but 3 broadcast networks plus UHF, and then Headline News and CNN as our ONLY cable options, life was simpler, and not yet stratified.

Today there is an endless array of news sources, not to mention reading blogposts and dedicated Facebook pages.  All claim to be 2-sided and fair.  Haaaaaah.  

The problem with the stratification of news sources comes in two parts:

   1)  In efforts to stand out and get noticed (by advertisers) news outlets pick a vain of political discourse.  Never a middle ground, as "fairness is not sexy, and doesn't sell."  The news and "journalism" business has merged irrevocably with the ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS.  #CNN has become the Hollywood Reporter of News.  Fox on the Right (Shep's gone now)   .....and msnbc (Chris Matthews), PBS, et al are lined up on the Left.

Advertisers patronize the news source they wish to influence.  In essence, buying and encouraging what ever their biased brands are.

   2)  So, not only are news outlets taking sides, they are paid handsomely via "shell operations" funneling PAC money into ads to buy access and influence.  Trace some DNC money to see...

In perusing #NewMedia like streaming YouTube and their various feeds, I have been shocked to see more and more productions (not just La Rouche!) covering any likelihood to become polarized as a nation to such a great degree that a hot war, one of violent acts is on the horizon.  Antifa, et al.

I am convinced that we are now at a precipice and a RED ZONE.   We turn back soon, or will devolve our great nation based upon lost principles.  The Constitution is no longer taught as Civics classes are gone.  The electorate is dumbed down, especially by paid-off media.  It is inescapable!

Great institutions of learning and colleges focus on diversity and gender studies!  Feminist goals have metastasized and morphed.

Back to the media quagmire, there are so many far left and far right outlets, one can simply now choose the news that suits the mood, without fear of countervailing viewpoints.  Yes, there are token opposition guys on all shows, but they are paper tigers (Juan Williams).   The news now shouts:  Give the people what they want to hear!   It's a good thing for the Right that the Left has nothing close to a Rush Limbaugh!

So if you weren't fired up by Trumps Tweets and events, you will surely be after 3 or 4 hours of Rush on the EIB networks.  Folks love to get a good political pump on in rush hours traffic!

The other and closer negative outcome to political "winner take all" polarized politics is that there is no longer anything like positive political discussion, let along real debate.   We have now become fully programmed to talk past each other.   "There is nobody so deaf as one who will not hear."   

And a Lefty dare not get chicken from a Chick-fil-a.   Try Popeye's intead!
