Fake News is Not the Real Story

Fake News is Not the Real Story

A fable by Steven R. Berryman

The real news, is that what is now coined as "fake news" in journalism is nothing new, and the perception thereof is truly subject to the eye of the beholder.  Listen to disappointed Democrats, and you will understand that fake news was recently invented to steal a presidential election. However, to most others, fake news is most frequently disseminated by those truth-hoarders, the mainstream media...they actually believe their own rhetoric for being some form of "fair and balanced."...

...On both sides of the political spectrum.  But disproportionately from the political Left.

Yes, there was some authentic manufactured-news, in the old days we called "a plant" in the Trump-Clinton election cycle, but it came from both sides. Most accusations that Trump was a woman hater who frequently attacked women or worse were fabricated, and later rescinded. Complainants recanted.  Trump actually proposed more female cabinet picks than any president ever had.

In the other camp, fake news that Clinton supported an election strategy to help the downtrodden "middle-class" and minorities of America was patently fake. Point of fact was that Clinton would have encouraged immigration, which would have subjugated our indigenous work force, especially minority, diluting their income ever further.  And, Bill and Hillary would have furthered international "Globalism," driving down the value of our own manufacturing sector, where the "middle-class" once had a bastion.

There were actually very few true fake-news stories out there in cyber-land, because the fabrication and alteration of real news - what we have been terming Mainstream News - was already at work.  The system was already in place. The MSM claimed all of the credibility, attempting to suck all of the oxygen out of the digital domain.

Essentially, why write a pretend story by a non-existent but real sounding source that would be easily ferreted out and quickly discredited, when the New York Times, and Washington Post were already known to be in the business of getting Clinton elected.  They told us so in their editorials! Major papers and networks like CNN, ABC, CBS, msnbc and more routinely were tasked by intermediaries to suppress and dump any story that would have furthered Trump.  And to fill that void with hate-Trump elitist fantasy.

So, they coined fake news to excuse the choice of a horrible candidate from the left.  They tried to tell the American people how to think.

And if you think the Russians did it... you took a toke on that spin as well.

In the final analysis, as well as in the final results, the American people did think.  For themselves.

And now we say, "President Trump."
