Obama OKs “Deceiving the Infidels” at DNC Convention

They used to tease the formative Mitt Romney for quick convenient change of positions, but the Democrats now hold the title of most embarrassing - and telling – quick change in all Convention history.

“God” and “support for Israel” got tossed back in to the DNC programming by an emergency surgery of speechwriters laboring in a secret room under the podium stage.

Really, they update speeches down there!

An (AP) wire service story – dateline CHARLOTTE, N.C. encapsulates it well:

“Under criticism from Romney, the Obama camp abruptly rewrote the day-old document to insert a reference to God and to declare that Jerusalem "is and will remain the capital of Israel." Some delegates objected loudly, but Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, presiding in the largely-empty hall, ruled them outvoted. White House aides said Obama had personally ordered the changes, but they did not disclose whether he had approved the earlier version.”

Again, in a voice vote of the platform committee, the majority shouts were against lifting the boycott of God and Jerusalem, but per specific instruction by none other than President Barack Hussein Obama, this was overridden and the words were freed!

My take is that appearances were more important than honesty in this case.  Just as in Islam, it is permitted to “deceive the infidels” in the concepts from the Koran of taqueria and kitman, to lie or use deception for righteous reasons; in this case the ends justified the means.

And you shall be absolved at a later date!

Infidels are defined here as non-believers in Obama - the religious Christian Center.  The big call amounted to giving up on the atheist-Independent voter for a time, till more of the Republican base can be usurped.

There’s ample time for flip flop after November!

Of course, vociferous Democrat defenders insisted that there was no semantic wordplay involved, and that they are just as God-fearing as the next political party, but one has to admit that the appearance in this incident is damning.

Perhaps damning to hell?
